Our 2 Days Marrakech To Zagora Desert Tour starts when we meet you at the airport or pick you up from your accommodation hotel/riad. Then, leaving Marrakech, which is considered the fourth largest city in Morocco, itโs one of the imperial cities and was the capital of the Almoravid empire, and it’s known as the Red City, we are going to drive by crossing the high atlas mountains. It is also our first spot to explore on our first journey, of 2 Days Marrakech To Zagora Desert Tour through passing Tizi N’Tuchka, which is known as the second-highest in Morocco (2260m), where we have a huge stop for taking a break and enjoying the landscapes of the high atlas. Later on, we continue our journey to the next spot called Telouet, which is famous for its mud-brick Kasbah and with a history of lavishness and traitor ships. The Kasbah was built by Thami El Glaoui in 1860. He was one of the most famous Pashas of the 20th Century and Lord of the Atlas because he controlled the Kasbah by imposing taxes and keeping order for those caravans who wanted to cross the High Atlas Mountains in order to reach Marrakech. Thus, it is sometimes called the palace of Glaoui. Nowadays, the Kasbah is a spot for those who want to visit it.
We continue our journey to the next Kasbah, Ait Ben Haddo, via driving through a Berber village till we reach Ait Ben Haddo. Kasbah is a site that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. The Kasbah, located on the top of the hill, affords a view of the Ounila River, and its houses are linked together within a great wall for fortification, also including corner towers and gates and houses decorated with geometric motifs. Kasbah Ait Ben-Haddou is regarded as a stopping place for caravanserai coming from Sub-Saharan African countries, as well as having free time for lunch in town. Afterward, we will drive to the Draa Valley, which is considered the most extensive river in Morocco at 1,100 kilometers, and it flows out of the mountains of the High Atlas. In addition to that, the Draa valley is known for its stunning oasis, home to Berber villages, impressive kasbahs, and the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. We will continue our journey by driving toward Zagora, bypassing Agdz, where we will have a break for lunch. Later on, we continue to Zagora, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before setting off on a camel ride with an experienced guide. Your first night of 2Days Marrakech To Zagora Desert Tourย will be spent in the desert. You will sleep under the stars or in a traditional Berber nomad tent.
